The first group were given a shake containing 3oz of ground peanuts, and the second group had the same shake but without the peanuts. The first group showed signs of improved heart health and vascular function compared to the second group who did not have the peanuts. The results of the heart health tests indicated a lower risk of atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease in the peanut group.
